The Hurtta winter jacket is a great way of keeping your dog warm as it protects the abdomen and main muscle groups. It can be put on (and taken off) very quickly, which makes it great for warming up active dog before or after outdoor activities. It's also perfect for daily walks, especially in the cold winter months, for dogs that don't like to be cold!

When measuring your dog for a Hurtta dog coat it's the back length that you should concentrate on. This is measured from the based of the tail to the withers while your dog stands in a normal position. Remember to make sure that your dog is standing naturally as the length could vary by several centimetres depending on his or her position.

Finally, it's always advisable to leave some extra room in the coat to ensure that your dog is able to move around easily, so we'd advise going an extra 5cm for smaller dogs and as much as 10-20cm for larger ones (depending on how much fur they have).
